My name is Susan Selu Johansson, and Nesian Kulture is the realization of a dream I’ve carried since I was 15 years old. Growing up in the 90s, I always wanted to see a brand that represented us Islanders—a brand that showcased the beauty, strength, and diversity of our cultures to the world. But there was nothing like that back then. Even now, Pacific Island brands are few and far between.

It was thanks to my Lebanese husband Feeros Elz and his unwavering support that Nesian Kulture came to life. Together, we knew this wasn’t just about clothing; it was about creating something meaningful—a platform to celebrate our heritage and to empower our people to carry their culture with honour, wherever they go.

Our Mission

At Nesian Kulture, we design for those who cherish their roots and want to honour them in every aspect of life. Our mission is simple: to share the richness of our cultures with the world, breaking stereotypes and highlighting the incredible diversity of talents and strengths our people hold.

We’re not just about being big people or great at sports—our talents go far beyond that. For me, my gift is storytelling through clothing. Each design we create is inspired by our Pacific Island traditions, values, and the spirit of community that connects us all.

We started Nesian Kulture with one dream: to empower our community, especially those living away from our island homes, to carry their heritage honourably in their daily lives.
